1955 Egypt One Pound Gold Coin Ramses II On War Chariot 1952 Revolution XF++

Description: Choice extremely fine 1955 (1374 AH) one Egyptian Pound gold coin with residual mint luster. The coin commemorates the third anniversary of the revolution against King Farouk which took place on July 23, 1952. It depicts Ramses II, one of Egypt's most famous pharaohs, riding his war chariot and holding a bow and arrow. It is KM-387 and weighs about 8.5 grams of 0.875 gold and is ~23.7 mm. This is the yellow gold version. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1955 AD - 1374 AH. 

Mint: Egypt. 

Size and weight: This is a one pound, weighs ~8.5 grams and is ~23.7 mm in diameter. 

References: It is KM #387. 

Condition: I would grade this coin as choice extremely fine with residual mint luster. The coin has s few light scratches and some minor surface marks in the fields. It has light and minor wear to the highest points commensurate with its age and circulated state. The coin is truly beautiful with nice eye appeal. The coin is much better than the images show. It does have the normal scratches and bag marks that come with such coins. Please see photos for additional condition information.
