1960 Rwanda and Burundi Ten Francs Banknote Pick Number 2a Choice Extremely Fine
Description: A beautiful choice extremely fine or much better banknote from Rwanda and Burundi. This is the Banque D'emission Du Rwandaet Et Du Burundi banknote dates 05-10-60 (October 5, 1960). The banknote is gray, blue, and orange on the front. It displays the image of a hippopotamus standing at the bank of a river with its mouth wide open. The back is gray on white with a guilloches pattern and showing the denomination. The note is written in French and has two signatures on the front. The front also shows the serial number with this note having the prefix N and the serial number 693982, which is displayed twice on the front in black. The back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The note has no watermark that we could find. Condition: I would grade this banknote as choice extremely fine or much better. The note has light folds and wrinkling with some bumps to the corners. It is generally clean with some minor soiling but has light brown stains at the top left corner and the right edge of the back. The note retains most if not all of its original stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. It has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. Its edges are intact with no appreciable roughness and its corners are squared with minimum rounding if any, but they have bumps which are obvious by viewing the note from the back. The colors of the note are clear, vivid, and bright. A very nice note to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
