Description: A choice about uncirculated specimen banknote from Congo Democratic Republic. This is the 21.1.1970 ten makuta currency note issued by the National Bank of the Congo. The front of the banknote is blue with olive green background and a multicolored underprint. It has the image of a stadium to the left of the front with the image of president Mobutu to the right. The front shows the date 21.1.1970 (January 21, 1970), has the denomination, has no signatures, has the word "SPECIMEN" stamped in red across it, and has the serial number A000000. The back, which has the same color scheme as the front, depicts the image of a long modern building known as the Palace of the Nation and has the word "SPECIMEN" in red stamped across it. The banknote displays the denomination on both the front and back. It has n signatures with the note having the serial number A000000. The note has a security thread to the left of center but no watermark that we could find. The note is graded as Choice AUU 58 by PCGS Gold Shield Grading and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. A great looking note that is hard to come by to add to your collection. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

The note has no stains and its corners are intact and fully squared with minimum rounding if any. A wonderful note worthy of a spot in your collection.
