1975 Reserve Bank of Rhodesia 10 Dollars Banknote P #33i Apparent Uncirculated
Description: A nice apparent uncirculated Banknote from Rhodesia. This is the 3rd December 1975 ten dollars currency note issued by the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia. The front of the banknote is blue and green and shows the bank's logo in the center near the top, the Rhodesia arms to the right and a sable antelope standing in the bottom left corner on the front. The back, which is gray-blue in color, depicts the image of trees surrounding the Great Zimbabwe ruins. The front of the banknote displays the date, the denomination, the serial number and one signature while the back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The banknote has a watermark depicting the bust of C. Rhodes as well as a solid security thread right of center. This particular note has the serial number J/38 059540 shown twice in red on the front. This is Pick Number 33i. A beautiful note from a country that no longer exists to add to your collection. Condition: I would grade this banknote as apparent uncirculated. The note has all of its details very well preserved. It has squared corners with no observable rounding and shows no roughness along the edges. It has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. The note is clean and has no large objectionable stains. It retains all of its original stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. It shows no signs of circulation. The only thing we see is a small light stain next to a short crease in the center of the top edge of the back. This, in our opinion, is not due to circulation but rather due to mishandling possibly by a bank teller. This is the reason for us grading the note as apparent uncirculated instead of a straight uncirculated. Be that as it may, the note is problem free and looks great.
