Antique Hand Painted Miniature on Porcelain of Woman Wearing Pearl Necklace
Description: Antique very well-done hand painted miniature of a woman on porcelain. The miniature, which is in the medieval Italian painters’ style, shows a woman with blondish brown hair wearing a pearls necklace around her neck. She has a dark blouse with floral decoration around the white collar. She also has strands of pearls hanging on the blouse. The woman has brown eyes and red colored lips. She is wearing earrings and the painting is very well executed. The painting is unsigned and is framed in an oval ornate wood frame. The frame, which was obviously an easel style frame with feet on the bottom and a support on the back has lost its feet and the supporting rod. However, the miniature, which is well executed and very nicely done fits within the frame. There is a paper cover on the back, which is partially cut open and reveals a wood cover holding the porcelain piece in place. We chose not to tear the paper covering completely to further explore the way the piece is put together and we are selling it as found. The frame itself has very nice decorative pattern along the edge and surrounding the painting itself (see photos for details). The painting and the wood oval frame itself are in very good condition. However, as mentioned earlier the frame is missing both legs on the bottom (see last photo), the supporting rod missing (see next to last two photos), and the paper cover on the back of the piece is partially torn. This is a very nice piece of art work that is well executed. and having vivid colors, which would make a nice addition to you collection of miniatures once properly framed or its current frame is fixed. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: The painted porcelain component itself is in very good condition with no color losses, chips, breaks, or repairs.
