Antique Unmarked Pewter Ladle with Wooden Handle and Hemispherical Shaped Bowl

  • $ 77.77

Description: A nice antique pewter ladle with nicely shaped turned wood handle and a Hemisphere shaped bowl. The piece has a curved and turned hardwood handle attached to the bowl using a tubular pewter connector which is part of the bowl. The handle itself ends with a rounded small pointy shaped terminal on top. The ladle also has what we would characterize a half a ball bowl which is ~3 1/2" in diameter at the top and is ~1 1/4" deep. The handle has been lacquered and looks very nice and the bowl has developed a nice warm gray age patina. The wood handle has some minor scratches and dings, but is intact and solid. The bowl itself also has some scratches, some minor dings, is slightly deformed and is slightly out of round. Be that as it may, this a nice piece worthy of a spot in your collection.
