His dog is playing in the water and anticipating the next catch. The painting is in a silhouette fashion in white enamel. The sides of the vase are rounded and rise to a constriction which in turn flares outwards and ends in a plain rim. The vase has a frosted light blue coloring,, which makes it opaque.
