Antique Floral and Basketweave Majolica Creamer Made in England
Description: A very nice, and colorful English Majolica Creamer. The creamer has a floral and basketweave or basket weave pattern. It has a raised floral design in green, and pink on a cobalt blue background in the center of the creamer. The outside has yellow colored top and bottom with a raised design simulating a basketweave. The piece has a an applied dark green or greenish gray handle with a raised design and a plain rim with a spout. It is colored on the inside with the typical purple-pink majolica coloring. Size: Measures ~2 7/8" in diameter at the base, 2 3/8" in diameter on top, it is 4" high, and it is about 3 7/8" at its widest including the spout and handle.

Marks: Marked "England" in cursive calligraphy on the bottom.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and rather unusual creamer that is in great condition after being around for about 100 years.
Condition: The creamer is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. It has general crazing to the glaze. It also has a dark spot right at the spout, which upon close inspection we determined it is soiling that penetrated under the glaze at that spot and not a chip or loss of glaze.
