Antique Yellowware Yellow Ware Food Mold Beautiful Deep Grape Design
Description: An antique yellow ware or yellowware food mold with deep grape clusters. The mold has a raised base and flared straight sides. The inside has a deeply impressed grape bunch on the bottom and impressed arches on the sides. This mold was probably used for food. This piece, however, probably did not see much use. Date: Late 19th Century to early 20th Century.

Size: Measures ~6" by ~4 5/8" and ~2 3/4" high. The mold weighs slightly over one pound.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a very nice piece to add to your collection of Americana.
Condition: In great shape with no breaks, or repairs. It does have a minor firing crack to the edges on top of the arches in the corners. The piece has general crazing to the glaze, a few small and minor chips, and spots where the glaze is lost along the edge of the rim and the edge of the base these are small and difficult to see but are there. The piece also has some of the usual and normal defects you would expect in these old primitive pieces such as pops, mold error, unevenness, covered errors, and unglazed spots.
