Beautiful Brown and Green Pennsbery Pottery Pretzel Bowl American Spread Eagle Decoration
Description: Beautiful large and deep pretzel bowl by the Pennsbury Pottery of Morris . This large, pretzel-shaped bowl has a green colored rim and is decorated with an eagle in its center. The eagle has spread wings and is holding an American flag shield with arrows in one foot and an olive branch in the other. The eagle has a banner in its beak, which reads E Pluribus Unum. The bowl has the typical Pennsbury colors of yellow-brown both on the inside and outside. The piece is marked on the back "Pennsbury Pottery". Date: Mid 1900s. The Pennsbury Pottery ceased operation in 1970.
Origin: Pennsbury Pottery Company of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.
Size: Measures 12" at its longest, 8 3/4" at its widest, is 2 5/8" at its highest, and weighs about 1 3/4 pounds.

Marks: Marked in brown under glaze on the back with the following words "Pennsbury Pottery" in print calligraphy.
