Beautiful US Copper Coin 1853 Braided Hair Liberty Head Large Cent VF++
Description: A nice very fine or much better copper 1853 Braided Hair Liberty Head large cent or penny. The coin itself is better than the scan shows and has good details. The obverse shows the details of the hair of top of the head with all the pearl strands. The hair above the brow is still evident and the word Liberty is still evident and has wear commensurate with the coin's age and its circulated status. The reverse of the coin is in a much better condition than the obverse with all the details being well preserved. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. The coin is nicely toned and has good eye appeal. These coins were designed by Christian Golbrecht . Early US coins such as this are gradually getting difficult to find.
