English Royal Doulton Bone China Woman in Red Dress Top O'the Hill CORP 1937
Description: A nice and rather beautiful vintage porcelain or bone china figurine of a lady standing in a pink/red colored dress with a colored scarf and holding her dark hat on top of her head. The dress appears to be blowing forward and the woman is holding her hat so it does not fly away which when taken in the contest of the title of the piece "Top O'the Hill" she is standing on top of windy hill. The lady has blond hair, a dark blue hat, and a colorful long scarf around her waist. She is standing with her head up and holding on to her hat with one hand while pushing her dress down with her other hand. She has beautiful eyes, red lips, and red cheeks. The figurine was designed by leading Doulton artist, Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1937 to 2004. This is a piece of hand painted and nicely crafted bone china. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Uncertain but sometime in the mid 1900s. The piece has been discontinued by Royal Doulton.

Size: It is ~7 1/8" high, with the base being ~3" by ~2 3/4". The piece weighs slightly over one pound.
Maker: Royal Doulton.
Marks: Has the Royal Doulton mark on the base and is also marked "Top O'the Hill" under the mark. It also shows the legend "CORP 1937 DOULTON & Co. LIMTED" below it all. Please see last two photos for additional details.
Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, crazing to the glaze, or repairs. It has some soiling on the foot where it would sit on a surface. Other than that, the piece is superb. Just a very colorful and beautiful old piece of Royal Doulton art pottery.
