Fenton Carnival Glass Ruffled Edge Bowl Blue Opalescent or Purple Holly Pattern
Description: A beautiful Fenton electric purple or blue opalescent Carnival Glass large round bowl having a round base/foot supporting it. The bowl has a beautiful raised design depicting springs of holly berries and leaves emanating from the center and radiating up the sides to the edge. The bowl has a ruffled smooth edge. The exterior of the bowl is undecorated but has beautiful dark purple or blue iridescent coloring, while the decorated inside has a beautiful purple or blue color with iridescent red, purple and gold coloring throughout. The design of this piece is just beautiful and the piece looks great and would display very nicely in your collection. Size: Measures ~9" diameter on top, ~3 1/8" diameter at the base, and is ~3" high. The bowl weighs ~2 pounds.
Marks: Marked on the bottom of the base "Fenton" in nice calligraphy within an oval.
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a beautiful and colorful piece with vivid colors and well defined pattern. Definitely a quality piece worthy of a prominent spot in your collection.
Condition: It is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, or repairs. It has a couple of scratches on the foot and several of the common issues you see in Carnival glass such as mold lines and light waviness of the glass on the outside from the glass flow in the mold. This piece has very few of these and is just superb. Please see photos for additional condition information.
