Porcelain Hand Painted Colorful French Quimper Tall Candlestick Holder Marked Henriot
Description: A nice vintage porcelain tall candlestick holder. This candlestick holder has a raising eight-sided base and a central column with a rounded center and almost squared top with a rounded inside to fit a candle. The piece is hand painted with floral designs on the base and center of the column. In addition one of the panels of the base has the typical country man common for this type of pottery all on white background. There is also geometric lines intersecting in a chicken wire style on the base, blue and yellow or orange lines on the column and the top of the piece has a yellow colored area with orange spots right on the edge of the candle opening. It includes colors from orange, yellow, green, and blue. Just a very beautiful and colorful piece. The piece is hollow, delicate, and weighs about seven ounces. Size: The base measures ~3 3/4" by ~3 3/4" and is ~5 3/4" high.
Maker: Henriot Quimper France Marks: Henriot Quimper France; with unidentifiable writing in a semi circle under it; blue colored print calligraphy on the bottom. The piece is also marked F-130; D.118; ocX in black coloring over the mark.
Condition: The piece is in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. The colors are vivid and fresh, just very beautiful.
