"Rare" 1924 Roseville Pottery Brown 7" Round Console Bowl Florentine Pattern
Description: A most beautiful, very uncommon, and rare brown colored art pottery round console bowl by the Roseville Pottery Company. This nice size bowl is in the Florentine pattern. The bowl is brown in color with textured panels regularly spaced and separated by garlands of grape vines and flowers in green and brown coloring. The rim is decorated with a repeating pattern of short curved lines with egg shaped centers. The bowl has two small almost rectangular handles on top along the edge of the rim. It was made in 1924. The piece is in excellent condition and is unmarked. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: Top opening of the bowl measures ~7 1/8" in diameter, the base measures ~7" in diameter, ~10" in diameter at the bulging center which is the widest part of the bowl, and the piece is ~3 5/8" high to the top of the handles. The piece weighs about 2 pounds and 14 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice piece which is very difficult to come by in such good condition. The colors are rich, fresh, and vivid and would display very well. A nice piece of art pottery, which would make a nice addition to your collection of Roseville pottery.
Condition: The piece is in very good condition. It has no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. It does have general crazing to the glaze. The only issue we see is the fact that the piece has a small manufacturing defect at the edge of the rim at the base of the handle which looks like a chip but is glazed over suggesting a manufacturing defect that is original to the piece (see the last photo). The piece also has some minor and very imperceptible roughness along the foot, which truly does not distract from the piece's quality and beauty. Other than that, this is a beautiful, which would make a great addition to your collection.
