Rare 1940s Roseville Art Pottery Green Bushberry Vase with Two Handles 28-4

Description: A most beautiful, very uncommon, and scarce green colored art pottery vase with two small handles at the top by the Roseville Pottery Company. This vase is in the Bushberry pattern. It was made in early to late 1940s. It shows large three-section leaves having saw tooth edges with clusters of berries and woody looking handles. Please carefully view photos as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: Early to late 1940s.

Origin: Roseville, Ohio.

Size: Base measures ~2 14" in diameter at the base, ~4 3/16" high, and ~4" at its widest including both handles. The vase weighs a bit over 8 ounces.

Maker: Roseville Pottery Company.

Marks: In relief on the bottom "Roseville, U. S. A.". The number 28-4 is not evident but we believe we see a partial 4 (see the last photo).

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice vase which is very difficult to come by. The colors are rich, fresh and vivid and would display very well in your collection.

Condition: The vase is in good condition with no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Its colors are fresh, vivid, and great looking. The vase has general crazing to the glaze, which is difficult to see because of the coloring and the nature of the surface. Be that as it may, this is a great looking piece to add to your collection or use as a decorative accent around your home.
