Vintage Carnival Glass Northwood Purple Ruffled Bowl Three Fruits Pattern Cherries, Peaches and Pears

Description:  A beautiful lustrous purple Carnival Glass deep footed and ruffled or crimped bowl. The bowl has a raised design depicting three cherries, two peaches (maybe two apples) and two pears around the center of the bowl with leaves holding the fruits. There is also three cherries in the center of the bowl. The rim of the bowl, which is ruffled, is also toothed. The bowl is marked with the underlined N for the maker Northwood. The bowl has a round foot and the exterior is undecorated. This beautiful piece has a very nice multicolored iridescent look over the purple colored glass on the inside but not on the outside or the foot. The piece is of solid glass construction. Date: Uncertain, but most likely early to mid 1900s.

Origin: USA

Size: Measures ~9" diameter on top, ~3 3/8" diameter at the foot, and ~ 2 3/8" at its heighest point. The bowl weighs a little over one pound.

Maker: Northwood.

Marks: Raised underlined N in the center of the foot.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a beautiful and colorful piece with vivid colors and well  defined pattern.

Condition:   It is in very good condition with no cracks, hairlines, or repairs. It does have the normal defects carnival glass normally displays such as mold lines and a few air bubbles trapped in the glass. It also has what looks like chips or possibly defects of the making at the edge of the foot. These are not really an issue and are hardly noticeable. Other than that the piece is great looking and very delicate. Please view photos to appreciate the beauty and condition of this great  piece.
