Vintage Glazed Porcelain Large Cat Figurine Marked Beswick England 1867
Description: A beautiful large size glazed and colorful porcelain figurine of a white colored cat with blue eyes. The figurine shows a white cat with a nice fur coat sitting on his hind legs with his front legs straight. He is looking sideways with his head tilted slightly up and with his ears perked up while his tail is laying to his side. This hollow glazed porcelain or china figurine has a white color with black coloring to outline the mouth, nose, mouth and whiskers. The nose is red in color while the eyes are blue with black pupils. Just a great piece, which would display very well. Date: Uncertain but most likely sometime in the mid to late 1900's.
Size: The cat is ~8 1/8" high while the base measures ~4 1/2" by ~5 3/4". The piece weighs over one pound and 14 ounces.
Marks: On the bottom in a circle with transfer under glaze "Beswick England" also impressed on the bottom Beswick England and the number 1867.
