1891H Bronze Coin British North Borneo One Cent Uncirculated NGC MS 64 RB

Description: A beautiful mint state uncirculated coin from British North Borneo. This is the 1891H bronze one cent coin. The coin, which is graded MS 64 RB (red Brown) by NGC, depicts the national arms with two men flanking it with the date below on the obverse. The reverse shows the denomination in the center surrounded by the legend "BRITISH NORTH BORNEO." The coin has the mint mark "H" on the bottom of the obverse indicating that it was minted in Birmingham England. It is beautiful, clean, problem free, with a nice red brown coloring and great eye appeal. It is KM# 2 weighing 9.25 grams and measuring ~29.6 mm in diameter. It is graded MS 64 RB (red Brown) by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Coins of low denomination such as this are rather scarce in such a nice state of preservation since they would have been heavily circulated. Date: 1891.

Mint: Birmingham, England at the Heaton Mint, as evidenced by the mint mark "H" in the bottom of the obverse.

Size and Weight: This is one Cent, which weighs about 9.25 gram of bronze and measures approximately 29.6 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #2.

Condition: The coin is graded by NGC as Mint State (MS) 64 RB (res brown) and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The details of the coin are extremely well preserved with no wear commensurate with its mint uncirculated state. The coin is clean, shiny, problem free, and has great eye appeal.
