1979 Egypt 1 Pound Silver Coin Prophet Muhammad Migration Mecca to Medina PF 67
Description: Beautiful lustrous brilliant uncirculated 1979 (1400 AH) One Egyptian Pound, nice size, silver coin. The coin is graded by ANACS as PF 67 DCAM (proof 67 Deep Cameo) and comes in a slab so labeled. The coin depicts the image of two doves with their eggs in front of the cobweb which covered the entrance to the cave where the Prophet Muhammad was hiding during his flight from Mecca to Medina on the obverse. The obverse also has the caption "Commemorating the passage of 14 centuries since the prophet's migration" on top of the design and a religious verse on the bottom. The reverse is all in beautiful naskhi Arabic Calligraphy showing the dates, the denomination, and the fact that it is from The Arab Republic of Egypt. There is also an arabesque floral design on the bottom. Just a great looking coin. It is KM-493 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Condition: The coin is graded PF67 DCAM (67 Proof Deep Cameo) by ANACS and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin is uncirculated with mirror like fields and beautiful luster. The coin has all of its details very well preserved. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. The slab itself has a small ~1/2" crack on the front, which is mentioned here for completeness.
