Description: A beautiful extremely fine or much better 1836 small silver coin from the United Kingdom. This is a beautiful 4 pence or Britannia groat having a great looking lustrous appearance. This small coin displays the uncovered head of King William IV facing right on the obverse and the image of seated Britannia with trident in one hand, a shield in the other and facing right on the reverse. The coin has the words "GULIELMUS IIII. D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX: F: D:" surrounding the king's head on the obverse. The reverse is marked "FOUR PENCE 1836" surrounding the seated Britannia. The coin is truly beautiful and has great eye appeal. It is KM 723 weighing ~1.9 gm and measures ~16.3 mm. The coin has a reeded edge. Please carefully review the scans provided as they are part and parcel of our description.

Mint: Great Britain.

Size and Weight: The coin weighs ~1.9 gm of 0.925 silver and is ~16.3 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #723.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a good extremely fine or much better with a lustrous appearance and having all of its details well preserved. The coin has some scratches which are evident in the photos, a few bag marks and several minor small dings to the rim. The coin also has some slight double striking which is obvious in some of the letters on the obverse. It also has some minor soiling within the legends especially on the obverse and a few minor stains, but truly nothing to distract from the beauty of the coin. Finally, the coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated state. Please see photos for additional condition information.
