Rare Silver Egyptian Coin 1929 AD or 1348 AH Brilliant Uncirculated Five Piastres ANACS MS 62 King Fuad the First Facing Left

Description: A beautiful and rather rare brilliant uncirculated 1348 AH or 1929 AD Egyptian five piastres silver coin. The coin, which is graded by ANACS as MS 62, depicts the bust of King Fuad or Fouad the first (who ruled Egypt during the British occupation) facing left. He is wearing a uniform and a fez and has the words Fouad the first King of Egypt along the edge on the obverse. The reverse has the words "Al Mamlkah Al Mesryah" (Kingdom of Egypt) in the center in beautiful calligraphy surrounded by the denomination and the date in years AD (1929) and AH (1329). This coin is of low mintage (about 800,000) and of small denomination which makes it rather rare in such a beautiful high grade. This is KM 349 weighs ~7 grams and is ~26 m in diameter. Mint: Egypt. Actually these coins were minted in Budapest Hungry as evidenced by the letters "BP." on the bottom of the reverse.

Size and Weight: This a five piastres, which is approximately 26 mm in diameter and weighs ~7 gm of 83.3%25 silver. The coin has a reeded rim.

Condition: The coin is graded as Mint State MS 62 by ANACS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. The coin is brilliant and beautiful. It has no observable wear commensurate with its uncirculated state making this a great looking coin with very nice eye appeal. Please see photo for additional condition information.
