Official Vatican Bronze Medal Jubilee of Holy Year of Mercy 2016 Pope Francis in Original Box & COA
Description: This is an authentic official bronze medal issued by the Vatican in 2016. The medal celebrates the Jubilee of the Holy Year of Mercy 2015-2016. The medal, which comes in its original packaging mainly a presentation box within a cardboard box is in mint condition and comes with its Certificate of Authenticity. This bronze medal weighs ~21.2 gm and measures ~35 mm in diameter. The medal was produced to commemorate the Holy Year of Mercy. The art work on the medal is by sculptor Patrizio Daniele and was minted by Picchiani & Barlacchi. The obverse of the medal depicts Pope Francis praying while the reverse has a representation of the parable of the Good Samaritan. This is a rather scarce medal of limited mintage. Condition: The medal is in mint state uncirculated and comes in its original velvet lined presentation box which is enclosed in its original cardboard box. The internal presentation box is in excellent like new condition while the external cardboard box has a couple of minor tears and soiling as can be seen in the photos.
