1845 Copper Coin Half Cent Straits Settlements Malaya Peninsula Queen Victoria

Description: A beautiful extremely fine 1845 copper coin from the Straits Settlements in the Malaya Peninsula in southeastern Asia. This is a half cent coin and has a plain edge. The coin displays the bust of a young Queen Victoria of England facing left on the obverse. The obverse also has the legend "VICTORIA QUEEN" along the edge surrounding the queen's bust. The reverse displays the denomination within a wreath with the words "EAST INDIA COMPANY 1845" surrounding it. This is KM# 2, should weigh ~4.51 grams and measures ~22.3 mm. The coin is great looking and is nicely toned. The coin is of the variety without "W.W." on truncation. A one year type and rather scarce in such nice grade. It is graded XF45 by PCGS and comes in a plastic slab so labelled. A great coin to add to your collection. Please carefully review the images provided as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size and weight: The coin should weigh ~4.51 grams and measures ~22.3 mm.

References: It is KM #2.

Condition: The coin is graded XF40 by PCGS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. The coin has a nice warm brown toning and exhibits only mild, even wear. It has a few darker areas on the obverse. However, these do not distract from the quality or the beauty of the coin. The coin is problem free and would make a great addition to your collection.
