1868 Half Penny Queen Victoria Beautiful Bronze Coin from Great Britain Young Bust With Laureate Facing Left NGC AU 58 BN

Description: A beautiful about or almost uncirculated 1868 half penny bronze coin from the United Kingdom. The coin, which has a plain edge, displays Queen Victoria's young bust and wearing a Laureate in her hair facing left on the obverse. The reverse displays Britannia seated and facing right with a light house behind her, a ship in front of her, the denomination surrounding her and the date below. The coin has the words "VICTORIA.D.G.: BRITT. REG. F.D." surrounding the queen's bust on the obverse. The reverse is marked "Half Penny 1868" surrounding a seated Britannia facing right. This is KM 748.2 weighing 5.7 grams and measuring about 25 mm in diameter. The coin comes in a plastic slab and is graded as About Uncirculated AU 58 BN (Brown) by the Numismatic Guarantee Corporation. A beautiful coin which deserves a spot in any advanced collection of British coins. It is nicely toned in a rich chocolate brown coloring and has great eye appeal.
