Description: A beautiful uncirculated crown size silver coin from Austria. This is the 1979 two Florine or two Gulden medallic coin minted in Vienna to commemorate Franz Joseph I silver wedding anniversary. The coin shows Conjoined busts of Francis Joseph I and his spouse Elizabeth in the center of the obverse with the legend "FRANC . IOS . I . D . G . AVSTR . IMP . ET . HVNG . REX . AP . * ELISABETHA . IMP . ET . REG . *" along the edge surrounding the busts. The reverse depicts the image of the seated allegoric figure of the Austrian Empire facing left and holding rudder and cornucopia. The image is surrounded by the legend "QVINTVM . MATRIMONII . LVSTRVM . CELEBRANT . XXIV . APRILLIS : MDCCCLXXIX *" along the edge. The coin's rim the denomination with the legend "ZWEI . GULDEN . XLV . KET . FORINT" which translates into 2 Gulden or 2 Forint (Hungarian currency). The coin is uncirculated, measures ~36 mm in diameter and weighs ~24.6 gm.
