Beautiful 1831-B Silver Coin Italian Papal State One Scudo Pope Gregory XVI Anno I KM 1315.1

Description: A beautiful about uncirculated silver coin from the Italian Papal States. This is the 1831-B AN I One Scudo struck during the times of Pope Gregory XVI the mint in Bologna. The coin depicts the image of the bust of pope Gregory XVI facing left on the obverse with the legend "GREGORIVS . XVI - PON . M . AN . I ." and the date 1931 surrounding the image. The reverse shows the image depicting the presentation of Jesus at the Temple with the mint mark "B" in the bottom. The image is surrounded by the legend "LVMEN AD REVELATIONEM CENTIVM." The coin should weigh ~26.43 grams of 0.7792 silver and measures ~37 mm in diameter. This is the rather scarce coin in such high grade. The coin is graded as AU 55 by ANACS and comes in a plastic slab so marked. It is beautiful and has a nice portrait of the Pontiff. Condition: The coin is graded as AU55 by ANACS and comes in a plastic slab so marked. The coin is great looking with nice clean surfaces and nice light toning. Its details are well preserved and having minor wear commensurate with its circulated state. Again, it is nicely toned, is great looking and has nice eye appeal.
