Beautiful 1945 Lustrous Mexico Gold Coin Two and Half Pesos Miguel Hidalgo AU++

  • $ 177.77

Description: Beautiful lustrous about uncirculated 1945 two and a half pesos Mexican gold coin. The coin depicts the image of Miguel Hidalgo on the obverse and the Mexican arms (eagle with serpent in its mouth standing on cactus) on the reverse. The obverse has the legend "DOS Y MEDIO PESOS*1945" below Hidalgo's head. The reverse has the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" above the arms. The coin has a reeded edge and a toothed border. It is KM-463, weighs about 2.1 grams of 0.900 gold, and measures approximately 15.5 mm in diameter. I would grade it about uncirculated or much better with minimum, if any, wear. A beautiful coin to add to your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1945.

Mint: Uncertain.

Size and weight: This is a 2 1/2 pesos coin, weighing ~2.1 grams of 90% gold (0.0603 oz AGW) and is ~15.5 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #463.

Condition: I would grade this coin as about uncirculated or much better. It has all of its details well preserved. It is lustrous and has nice clear fields. The only thing we see is a bump to the edge at about 3 O'clock on the obverse which is the reason we grade the coin as About Uncirculated instead of Uncirculated, but you be the judge. Again, the coin has all of its details well preserved with minimum, if any, wear. It is clean with some minor scratches and bag marks to the fields. A great looking coin worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
