Egypt Silver 1964 AD, 1384 AH Commemorative 25 Piastres Nile Diversion by The Aswan High Dam Beautiful Proof Coin

Description: Beautiful proof 1964 (1384 AH) Twenty Five Egyptian Piastres silver coin. The coin which is graded as PF 69 Deep Cameo by ANACS, depicts the Aswan High Dam with the Nile flowing and the sun rising behind the structure and commemorates the fact that on May 15, 1964 the dam structure resulted in the diversion of the flow of the Nile River, a major historic feat. The coin is labeled (Al Gomhouriah al-Arabiah al-Mutahida) United Arab Republic as opposed to Arab Republic of Egypt. The coin was minted when Egypt and Syria where united into a confederation. It is KM-406 and weighs 10 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 29 mm in diameter. This coin is rather scarce with a mintage of 2000 pieces in the proof issue. Size and Weight: This is a twenty five piastres, weighs 10 grams and is ~29 mm in diameter.

Condition: The coin is graded as proof 69, one digit away from perfect, with the designation of Deep Cameo by ANACS (PF69 DCAM). It is as close as it gets to perfect problem free a coin. A great looking coin which is rare in this condition. Please see photo for condition information.
