Description:   Beautiful brilliant uncirculated 1964 (1384 AH) Fifty Egyptian Piastres silver coin.  The coin depicts the Aswan High Dam with the Nile flowing and the sun rising behind the structure and commemorates the fact that on May 15, 1964 the dam structure resulted in the diversion of the flow of the Nile River, a major historic feat. The coin is labeled (Al Gomhouriah al-Arabiah al-Mutahida) United Arab Republic as opposed to Arab Republic of Egypt. The coin was minted when Egypt and Syria where united into a confederation. It is KM-407 and weighs 20 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 40 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date:  1964 AD - 1384 AH.

Mint:  Egypt. Size and weight:  This is a fifty piastres, weighs 20 grams and is ~40 mm in diameter.

References:  It is KM #407.

Condition:  I would grade this coin as a beautiful brilliant uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved and all of its original mint luster with nice clear fields and a beautiful design. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have some minor scratches and bag marks but nothing of concern. Just a great looking coin which is rare in this state. Please see photo for condition information.
