Egypt Silver Coin 1884 AD 10 Qirsh Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II ANACS EF 40

Description: An extremely fine 1293 AH 10th year of Sultan Abdul Hamid II reign, or 1884 AD, Egyptian ten Qirsh (or pistres) silver coin. The coin, which is graded EF 40 by ANACS, comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin depicts the tughra of Abdul Hamid the second with the denomination under it and a rose to its right all surrounded by branches and having two crossing quivers under it all. The reverse says "Duribah Fi Misr" or struck in Egypt with the number 10 over the "beh" in duribah (for 10th reginal year of Abdul-Hamid's reign) and the date 1293 AH under it for the year when Abdul-Hamid ascended the throne, all surrounded by branches and having three stars on top. Just a beautiful design, by Emil Weigand of Berlin Germany as evidenced by the "W" in the bottom of the obverse. The coin is beautiful, nicely toned, has well preserved details with wear commensurate with its grade and circulated status.
