Abdul Hamid II Egyptian 20 Qirsh Large Silver Coin 1894 AD 1293 AH Reginal Year 20 NGC Graded About Uncirculated AU58

Description: An beautiful good about uncirculated 1293 AH year 20 of Sultan Abdul Hamid II reign, or 1890 AD, Egyptian ten Qirsh (or pistres) silver coin. The coin depicts the tughra of Abdul Hamid the second with the denomination under it and a rose to its right all surrounded by branches and having two crossing quivers under it all. The reverse says "Duribah Fi Misr" or struck in Egypt with the number 20 over the "beh" in duribah (for 20th reginal year of Abdul-Hamid's reign) and the date 1293 AH under it for the year when Abdul-Hamid ascended the throne, all surrounded by branches and having three stars on top. Just a beautiful design, by Emil Weigand of Berlin Germany as evidenced by the "W" in the bottom of the obverse. The coin comes in a plastic slab and is graded by Numismatic Guarantee Corporation (NGC) as AU 58. The coin is beautiful and is attractively toned with all the details being preserved and readable. Size and Weight: This is a 20 Qirsh, weighs approximately 28 grams of 0.833 silver and is about 40 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #296.

Condition: The coin is graded by NGC as AU58 (top of the scale for the about uncirculated) and comes in a plastic slab. The coin has all of its details being well preserved and having nice eye appeal. The coin is beautiful and is nicely toned.
