Nice 1904A Silver Coin German East Africa Quarter Rupie/Rupee Toned Choice AU
Description: Beautiful toned about uncirculated or much better silver coin dated 1904 from German East Africa. This is a Quarter Rupie or Rupee silver coin. This coin depicts the bust of Kaiser Wilhelm II in an armor, with a crowned eagle on top of his helmet, facing left with the words "GUILELMUS II IMPERATOR" surrounding it, on the obverse. The reverse depicts the words "DUTSCH OSTAFRIKA" above the denomination "1/4 RUPIE 1904 A" in four lines below it within a wreath. The letter "A" stands for the mint in Berlin below. The coin is ~2.9 grams of 0.917silver and measures about 19 millimeters in diameter. It is KM-8. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this coin as choice toned about uncirculated with great eye appeal. The coin has some minor signs of wear, some scratches, and a few bag marks. The coin has light luster in the field with nice toning along the edge of both sides. The coin is much better than the photos suggest.
