Description: A one year type very fine, or much better, 1341 AH or 1923 AD Egyptian twenty piastres rare silver coin. The coin depicts the bust of King Fuad or Fouad the first (who ruled Egypt during the British occupation) facing right. He is wearing a fez and has the words Fouad the first King of Egypt along the edge on the obverse. The reverse has the words "Al Mamlkah Al Mesryah" (Kingdom of Egypt) in the center in beautiful calligraphy surrounded by the denomination and the date in years AD (1923) and AH (1341). This is a rare coin with low mintage of only 100,000. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1923.

Mint: Egypt. Only 100,000 of this coin were minted.

Size and Weight: This is a 20 piastres, weighs ~28 grams of 83.3%25 silver and is approximately 40 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded rim. References: It is KM #338.

Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice very fine or much better. The details are preserved and readable but shows some wear to the high points. The coin is better than the scan shows. It does have scratches, minor bag marks, and wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. Please see photo for additional condition information.
