Uncirculated 1911 Bronze Egypt Coin 1/20 Qirsh Ottoman Sultan Muhammad V MS64 RB

Description: A great looking choice uncirculated bronze coin from Egypt. This is a one-twentieth qirsh from the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Muhammad V. The coin shows the sultan's tughra, two roses to the right of the tughra, the number 4 for the 4th year of Muhammad V's reign below it on the obverse. The reverse says Duribah Fi Misr (struck in Egypt) then the word Nisff Min 'Ashr al Qirsh (half of a tenth of a qirsh) with Muhammad's accession year of 1327 AH below it and stars on both sides. It is KM-301 measuring approximately 19 mm in diameter. The coin has a plain rim. Coins of such small denomination and small size are usually hard to come by in such a nice grade. They normally were used extensively by the people and were lost or severely abused. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1911 AD - 1327 AH year 4 of Muhammad V's reign.

Mint: Egypt.

Size and weight: This is a 1/20 Qirsh and is ~19 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #301.

Condition: The coin is uncirculated and is graded by ANACS as mint state MS 64RB (Red Brown). It comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It does have shine to it, with brownish-red coloring and is problem free. Coin of such low denomination are rare in such high grade since they tended to be heavily circulated and abused. The coin shows no wear and has nice clear fields. The coin has superb eye appeal and is beautiful. A great coin to add to your collection.
