Uncirculated 1913 FG Small Size Silver Coin Republic Peru Half Dinero NGC MS64

Description: A beautiful uncirculated Peruvian silver small size coin. This is the 1913 FG Republic of Peru decimal half dinero silver coin. The coin depicts the Liberty seated and facing right. Liberty is holding a staff in one hand and a shield that is sitting on the ground in the other on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "FIRM E Y FELIZ POR LA UNION" surrounding the seated liberty and the denomination "1/2 DINo" below her. The reverse has the Peruvian arms within springs and having a small wreath above it. The reverse has the legend "REPUB: PERUANA LIMA .9 D: FINO F.G." surrounding the arms and the date 1913 below it. This is a small, about US dime size coin with a reeded edge. The coin is uncirculated, is graded as MS 64 (Mint State 64) by NGC and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It is lustrous, has no observable wear, and has great eye appeal. Please carefully review the photos presented as it is part and parcel of our description.

Mint: Lima Peru.

Size and weight: This is a half dinero, which should weigh ~1.25 gm of 90% silver and measures ~15.5 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded edge.

References: It is KM #206.2.

Condition: The coin is uncirculated and is graded MS 64 by NGC. It comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The coin has no observable wear. It is very pleasing, boldly struck coin with lustrous surfaces and a strong die clash on both sides to lend it character.
