1798 Beautiful Billon Coin Canton of Bern Switzerland 4 Kreuzer Bear Walking
Description: An uncirculated mint 1798 billon coin from the canton of Bern in Switzerland. This is the 4 Kreuzer coin depicting the arms of Bern depicting a bear climbing an incline within a circle on the obverse. The arms is surrounded by the legend "BERNESIS MONETA.REIPUB" and having the denomination below. The reverse of the coin shows a floriated cross again within a circle and surrounded by the legend "DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT. 1798." The coin is nicely toned with hints of silvery coloring showing in the fields and some residual luster. The coin has very nice eye appeal. It is KM 87 measuring ~24 mm. The coin is uncirculated, comes in a slab and is graded by NGC as Mint State MS65. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition: This is a great looking coin that is very rare in such high grade. The coin is graded by NGC as MS65 and comes in a plastic slab. The coin has all of its detail very well preserved and has very nice eye appeal. The coin is lightly toned with hints of silvery coloring showing in the fields and having residual mint luster. It does have minor scratches, minor bag mar, and no wear commensurate with its uncirculated status. The coin has very nice eye appeal. Please see photo for additional condition information.
