1802 Crown Size Peru Silver Coin Lima IJ Mint 8 Reales King Charles IIII AU 50
Description: A nicely toned, about uncirculated Peruvian crown size silver coin. This is an eight reales silver coin. The coin depicts the laureate bust of King Charles IIII of Spain facing right on the obverse. The bust is surrounded with the legend "CAROLUS*IIII*DEI*GRATIA*1802" along the edge. The reverse has the crowned Spanish arms surrounded by two pillars. The reverse has the legend "HISPAN.ET.IND.REX.LIMAE.8R.I.J." with the LIMAE mint mark in monogram. The coin has the edge with alternating raised rectangles and circles, which shows some wear. It is lightly toned, has nice eye appeal. This is KM 97, should weigh ~27.07 grams and is ~38.5 mm in diameter. The coin is graded as about uncirculated AU 50 by NGC and comes in plastic slab so labeled. Size and weight: This is an eight reales, which is approximately 39 mm in diameter and weighs ~26.6 gm of 0.896 silver.

Condition: The coin is graded by NGC as About Uncirculated AU 50 and comes in a plastic slab soo labeled. The coin has a few bumps to the edge and some minor marks in the fields such as scratches and bag marks. It is in original circulated condition with wear commensurate with its age and about uncirculated state. It looks great and would make a great addition to your collection.
