1817 Great Britain Silver Coin One Shilling King George III Bust Facing Right VF
Description: A nice very fine one shilling silver coin from the United Kingdom. This is the 1817 shilling with reeded edge and depicts the bust of King George 3 facing right on the obverse. The reverse displays a crowned arm within a circle. The coin has the words "GEOR.III D:G: BRITT:REX F:D:" surrounding the king's bust on the obverse with the date below it. The reverse is marked "HONI.SOIT.O.MAL.Y.PENS..." within the border of the circle surrounding the arms. This is KM 666, weighing ~5.6 gm of 0.925 silver and having a diameter of ~23.5 mm. The coin has nice toning and wear throughout, but still got nice eye appeal. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.
Mint: Great Britain.
Size and Weight: The coin weighs ~5.6 gm of 50%25 silver and is ~23.5 mm in diameter.

Condition: For international buyers, please note that the new US postal rates for overseas shipping are very high and we are unable to change them. Additional charges will be incurred depending on the value of the item. Please check the cost of shipping before bidding. I would grade the coin as a nice very fine or better. The coin is soiled and toned. It shows wear throughout but is still very readable and shows good details on both sides. Look at the King's hair and the details within the arms. The coin has a few bag marks and scratches, but these are inconsequential. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. This is a nice coin to add to your collection of British coins. Please see scan for additional condition information.
