1924 One Year Type Egypt Copper-Nickel Coin 10 Milliemes King Fuad Facing Right

  • $ 119.99

Description: A nice about uncirculated or better 1924 (1342 AH) Egyptian one-year type ten milliemes or one piastre copper-nickel coin. The coin depicts the bust of king Fouad the First or Fuad I of Egypt during the British occupation of Egypt on the obverse. He is wearing a fez and facing right. The coin shows the denomination on the reverse as well as the date of issue as 1924 AD and 1342 AH and the words Egyptian Kingdom. This is a rather scarce coin in this grade due to the fact that it is of very low denomination and normally sees extensive circulation. It is KM-334. It measures approximately 23 mm in diameter and weighs about 5.19 grams. The coin has a plain rim. Please carefully view scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1924 AD - 1342 AH.

Mint: Egypt.

Size and Weight: This is a 10 milliemes measuring ~23 mm in diameter and weighs about 5.19 gm.

References: It is KM #334.

Condition: I would grade this coin as a nice about uncirculated or better with all the details being very well preserved and having very nice eye appeal. The coin has a nice silvery color with a light patina and no observable problems. It is much better than the scan shows. It does have minimum wear if any, some minor bag marks, some minor rim nicks, and wear commensurate with its age and about uncirculated status. Please see photo to judge the grade for yourself and for additional condition information.
