1980 Egypt Silver Coin One Pound Sadat Peace W/ Israel Uncirculated Proof Cameo
Description: A beautiful uncirculated proof silver coin from Egypt. This is the 1980 (1400 AH) Egyptian pound silver coin. The obverse of the coin depicts the head of president Anwar Sadat with a hand, which is drawn in the form of a peace dove, holding a quill to sign the peace treaty with Israel. The quill itself has a top which is in the form of an olive branch. Just a beautiful design. The reverse shows the denomination and the date both in AD and AH. It also says Arab Republic of Egypt. This coin commemorates the signing of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel on March 26, 1979. In my opinion this is one of the prettiest coins you get to see from this part of the world.
