Beautiful 1825 Billon Coin Choice Brilliant Uncirculated or Better Canton of Geneva One and a Half Sol
Description: A beautiful choice brilliant uncirculated or better billon coin from the canton of Geneva in Switzerland. This is the 1825 one and a half sol coin issued by Geneva. The coin has the arms of the canton depicting half an Eagle and a Key within a shield and the sun above and the words REP. ET CANTON DE GENEVE surrounding it on the obverse. The reverse has the denomination and the date with the words POST TENEBRAS LUX along the edge. This is a great looking coin that has quite a bit of its original luster and retains all of its details. The piece has very nice eye appeal. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Size and Weight: This is a one and a half sol weighing ~1.1 gm and measuring about 19 mm in diameter.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a beautiful brilliant uncirculated or better. The coin has quite a bit of its original mint luster and great eye appeal. It has all of its details well preserved commensurate with its uncirculated state. It has some minor scratches throughout as well as a few light nicks and bag marks. The coin looks much better than the scan suggests. This is a beautiful coin which would make a worthy addition to your Swiss coin collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
