Description: Beautiful uncirculated copper coin with residual luster from the Congo Free State. This is the coin with a central hole having the 5 Centimes denomination. This is the 1888/7 variety listed in Krause as KM #3. The obverse has a radiating crowned monogram of King Leopold of Belgium in the center surrounded with the legend "LEOPOLD II ROI DES BELGES SOUV. L'ETAT INDEP. DU CONGO" along the edge. The reverse shows A star in the center with the date and denomination. This is KM #3 measuring ~30 mm in diameter.
