Beautiful Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation 1959 Ten Dollars Banknote VF++

Description: A beautiful Choice Very Fine banknote from Hong Kong. This is The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation 21st May 1959 ten dollars currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. has a dark green design on multicolored and orange underprint with the image of a woman holding sheaf of grain within an oval in the top left corner and the arms of Hong Kong left of center of the front. The back is also dark green on multicolored underprint with the image of a bank building in the center and a winged angel on top. This particular note has the serial number 746792 displayed twice on the front and is series GU. The note has two signatures displayed on the front. It is dated 21st May 1959. The banknote has a watermark located in the squared frame to the left on the back, which displays a helmeted warrior's head. Size: The banknote measures ~6" by ~3 1/4". Pick Number: P 182a.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as choice Very Fine or better. The note has vertical folds and a light horizontal fold. It is relatively clean with no stains. The note is intact with no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears and no splits. The edges have some minor roughness at the ends of the central vertical fold and some additional minor roughness along the top and bottom edges. The corners are intact, squared and have minimum rounding, if any, and a sew minor bumps. the note retains some of its original stiffness and crispiness. The colors are vivid with no fading.
