Description: A great looking uncirculated copper-nickel coin from Egypt. This is a one qirsh coin from the reign of Abdul Hamid II the Ottoman Sultan. The coin, which is graded as Mint State (MS) 63 by ANACS, shows the sultan's toughra, a rose to the right and above the toughra and the denomination below it all surrounded by a foliate design. The reverse says Duribah Fi Misr (struck in Egypt) with the number 27 for the 27th year of Abdul Hamid II's reign over the letter "Beh" on top. There is also Abdul Hamid accession year of 1293 AH below it all surrounded by 17 five pointed stars all along the edge. It is KM 299 measuring approximately 22 mm in diameter and weighing ~5.3 grams. The coin has a plain edge. This is a rather scarce coin of low mintage (999,000) especially in such high grade being of such low denomination, which was heavily circulated and abused.
