Copper-Nickel Coin 1917 AD 1335 AH Egyptian Five Milliemes Sultan Hussein Kamel Uncirculated Mint State 65
Description: This is a beautiful uncirculated mint state (MS) 65 1335 AH or 1917 AD Egyptian five milliemes (Half a Piaster or Qirsh) copper-nickel coin. This is the variety with center hole and has the mint mark "H" for Birmingham England. The coin depicts the name of Hussein Kamil on the obverse with his title "Sultan Misr" or Sultan of Egypt and the date 1335 AH and 1917 AD. The reverse shows the denomination in Arabic numeral and letters as well as in Latin numerals and letters. The coin is graded by NGC as MS 65 and comes in a plastic slab that is so marked. The coin is beautiful with all the details well preserved and shows no wear at all. The coin has the mint mark "H" displayed in the bottom of the reverse. Size and Weight: This is a 5 milliemes or the half Qirsh or Piastre. The coin weighs ~4.8 grams and is ~23 mm in diameter.
