Crown Size Silver Coin from Portugal 1910 Escudo NGC AU55 Birth Of The Republic Commemorative
Description: A beautiful crown size silver coin from Portugal. This is the 1910 one escudo silver coin displaying the lady Liberty's bust holding a torch and facing left on the obverse. The reverse displays a shield in the center within a circle and having a wreath around it. This is the Birth of the Republic commemorative issue dated 1910 but struck in 1914. The Obverse has the legend "REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA; OUTUBRO 1910". The coin has the denomination below the shield on the reverse. This is KM 560 weighing ~25 grams of 0.8350 silver and measuring about 38 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded edge. The coin is beautiful with quite a bit of its original mint luster still evident and displaying minimum wear. It is graded AU55 by NGC and comes in a plastic holder. Date: The coin is date 1910 but is known to have been struck in 1914.

Condition: The coin is graded as about uncirculated AU55 by NGC and comes in a plastic slab. It still retains quite a bit of its original mint luster and has great eye appeal. It does have a few scratches and minor bag marks, but is still great looking. The coin has minimum wear commensurate with its about uncirculated condition.
