Rare 1807 Small Billon Coin One Rappen Canton of Vaud Switzerland Choice VF+
Description: A beautiful choice very fine or better billon coin from the Canton of Vaud in Switzerland. This is the rare 1807 one Rappen Swiss coin. The coin depicts the image of the Canton of Vaud arms consisting of a two-color shield within a wreath with the legend "CANTON DE VAUD" above it, on the obverse. The reverse has the words "1/RAPPEN/1807" in three lines within a wreath. This is a very nicely dark toned coin with nice eye appeal. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date: The coin is dated 1807.
Mint: Unknown.
Size and weight: This is a one Rappen weighing ~0.6 gram and measuring about 14 mm in diameter.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a darkly toned choice very fine or better with nice eye appeal. The coin has all its details well preserved and has wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. It has some minor scratches throughout and a few light bag marks. Be that as it may, the coin is still beautiful and would make a worthy addition to your Swiss coin collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
