Silver Coin Mexico 8 Reales 1808 TH Charles IIII of Spain Mint Mark Mo NGC MS61

Description: A nicely toned mint state uncirculated 1808 Mexican crown size silver coin. This is the Charles IIII 8 Reales depicting the bust of King Charles the fourth of Spain, facing right, on the obverse. The obverse of this large, silver dollar size coin, has the legend "CAROLUS.IIII.DEI.GRATIA" surrounding the king's bust and the date 1808 below it. The reverse depicts the crowned arms of Spain between pillars with the legend "HESPAN.ET IND.REX" followed by the mint mark "Mo" then "8R. T.H." all surrounding the arms. These coins were used extensively in the US before the silver dollars were circulated. The coin is nicely toned with all of its details being very well preserved. It is a nice coin with nice eye appeal. This is KM# 109 should weigh ~27 grams and measures ~39 millimeters. The coin is graded MS 61 (Mint State 61) by NGC and comers in a plastic slab so labeled. Weight and Size: The coin should weigh ~27 grams of 0.896 silver and measures ~39 mm in diameter. 

References: KM# 109. 

Condition: The coin is graded MS 61 by NGC and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. The coin has no observable wear commensurate with uncirculated or mint state grade. It is nicely toned, has a few surface marks throughout especially on the obverse. A very nice coin with good eye appeal, which deserves a spot in any collection.
